According to the reports some of the very first users of Motorola smartphone droid 2 (which made available since last week the U.S.) reported a problem of signal loss. It is perhaps still too early to speak of a “antennagate, but early returns suggest the Motorola Droid 2 install the doubt. According blogs Engadget, and Phonescoop Mobile Crunch, 6 of 7 copies they received for testing showed a loss of signal.

According to their findings, it would be unstable. Prudent Mobile Crunch accurate, however it is impossible to draw conclusions because Droid 2 is available since last Thursday. The phenomenon has not yet been reported by enough users so that we can speak of a problem.

In a joint statement, Google and Verizon issue a “legislative proposal” on Net neutrality and advocate for their personal vision of an “open Internet.

From t last week it is coming in news that there is a discussion initiated between Google and the telecom operator Verizon around the principle of Net neutrality, which is a “guarantee against discrimination with respect to the source, destination or content information transmitted over the network “, as defined by the ASIC, the Association of Community Internet Services.
According to the New York Times, the agreement would have been intended to give priority to services from Google on Verizon’s network in exchange for a fee.

The two players in the field of telecom and the Internet faces rumors by issuing a “legislative proposal” that would hurt some principles of Net neutrality.

Google and Verizon would the legislative proposal” to be implemented in the United States, with the approval of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) relaxed rules and scalable on Net Neutrality.”Google and Verizon have worked together to find ways to preserve the neutrality of the internet” while “continuing to promote investments in access to broadband Internet”, Google said on its blog.

Both groups agree on an important principle: it can be shown restraint and discrimination legal content for operators and ISPs in the direction of Internet users. The Only problem with it is on how to identify these “legal content” circulating on the Internet? They do not say … The filtering of content perhaps?

“Provide additional services differentiated” … and priority?

However, Verizon and Google also believe that Internet access providers “have the right to a reasonable use of their network, at a time when ISPs want to implement a congestion of their networks to cope with the explosion of web traffic.

A competitor to Apple’s iPad is going to get launched by Motorola. According to the Financial Times, Motorola and Verizon Wireless are building a tablet computer based on Google’s Android operating system for TV consumption. The project would be more interesting than a simple table since the manufacturer has a great idea of meeting the demands of the most frequent viewers.
The 10 inch display tablet would access the service from Verizon FiOS, a pay-per-view. The tablet would support the flash video which is not present in Apple’s iPad. The tablet will be powered by Motorola Android, Flash and will be “thinner and lighter than the iPad”. The device will also serve as hotspot and will have two AFN for snap photos, the other for video conferencing. The device might have 3G connectivity provided by Verizon.

The product is expected to be launched this fall.

Microsoft, Google and RIM (BlackBerry) is up against Apple. This competition is now fierce bursts. The iPad is indeed a phenomenal success. There are more than three million copies sold.

Others mobile carriers in US and some international carriers will soon join T-mobile is the giving the users the option for paying for their app purchases in their monthly mobile bills.

The change will be coming with the new guidelines given in the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement. But it will take another month for the finalization and the carriers to sign for it.

The announcement came on Friday the 23rd when internet legend Tim Bray wrote on the developer’s blog about the impending changes that will be coming soon.

The blog went like ‘Please note that we have updated the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement (DDA). This is in preparation for some work we’re doing on introducing new payment options, which we think developers will like.” He further went on to write indicating the changes that have been brought “In Section 13.1, “authorized carriers” have been added as an indemnified party”

Till now this payment option of adding the purchases in the monthly wireless bills have been given to the consumers only by T-mobiles. A total of 30 days have been given to the carriers to adhere to the new terms and conditions. This means users don’t have to whip out their credit cards to pay for the apps before they can download them.

All major providers like the Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint have high-end Android phones so all these will surely join in the new billing plans. However Bray wasn’t specific as to which all additional carriers will support this payment plan because the term used in the blog only specified ‘authorized carriers’ but failed to give details.. Additional payment options will surely lead to more purchases which will be good for developers as well as the carriers. The payment plan will bring some additional revenue for carriers and another incentive to carry Android phones. So the plan is good for all parties.

Developers too are all smiles for this change, this will also bring about a positive impact as new change it will also allow people to get the applications more easily.

The official announcement is expected to come later this month about more US and perhaps even some international carriers will be signed on as business partners.

Engadget and BGR has just reported that there is a possibility of Verizon Wireless to switch over to tiered smartphone data plans. Further to their report, it would be similar to AT&T which would start on 29th July. This has come from the same source which predicted the release of the DROID 2 on August 12, 2010. Details on price and data caps along with the terms listed have not yet been specified in the report.

As per BGR, “We don’t have to stretch our minds very far to imagine this happening, but let us hope this piece of intel retains its rumor status well past the 29th.”

T-Mobile and Sprint, have no aims of following Verizon and AT&T into the world of capped connections.
