Others mobile carriers in US and some international carriers will soon join T-mobile is the giving the users the option for paying for their app purchases in their monthly mobile bills.

The change will be coming with the new guidelines given in the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement. But it will take another month for the finalization and the carriers to sign for it.

The announcement came on Friday the 23rd when internet legend Tim Bray wrote on the developer’s blog about the impending changes that will be coming soon.

The blog went like ‘Please note that we have updated the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement (DDA). This is in preparation for some work we’re doing on introducing new payment options, which we think developers will like.” He further went on to write indicating the changes that have been brought “In Section 13.1, “authorized carriers” have been added as an indemnified party”

Till now this payment option of adding the purchases in the monthly wireless bills have been given to the consumers only by T-mobiles. A total of 30 days have been given to the carriers to adhere to the new terms and conditions. This means users don’t have to whip out their credit cards to pay for the apps before they can download them.

All major providers like the Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint have high-end Android phones so all these will surely join in the new billing plans. However Bray wasn’t specific as to which all additional carriers will support this payment plan because the term used in the blog only specified ‘authorized carriers’ but failed to give details.. Additional payment options will surely lead to more purchases which will be good for developers as well as the carriers. The payment plan will bring some additional revenue for carriers and another incentive to carry Android phones. So the plan is good for all parties.

Developers too are all smiles for this change, this will also bring about a positive impact as new change it will also allow people to get the applications more easily.

The official announcement is expected to come later this month about more US and perhaps even some international carriers will be signed on as business partners.

U.S. operator Sprint announced the launch of the sale of smartphone HTC EVO 4G. However, this new arrival is marred by a bug. The problem involves the 8GB MicroSD card that comes with the mobile. It would work sporadically. The first users to quetch are the participants of the conference developers of Google (Google I / O).

When in use, the card may well appear as empty or corrupted. An impermanent method is to remove and replace the MicroSD card i.e. till the problem is stated again. Many users can not save pictures on the map. Instead, the successful completion of the operation on the screen displays an error message.

The representative HTC Keith Nowak said that the problem actually exists. However, he does not believe that it is prevalent. The company is going in the near future to fix it by software. Experts have discovered the cause of possible problems and say that any inconvenience will be eliminated.

HTC EVO 4G is probably one of the most popular smartphones in the market. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform with a frequency of 1 GHz processor and running the operating system Android 2.1. HTC EVO 4G has a large 4.3-inch touchscreen as well as a popular and incredibly beautiful user interface HTC Sense. Also on board the device – 8 megapixel camera, HDMI port, GPS, digital compass, and so on. Sprint emphasizes ecological innovations: a fully inclusive recycling packaging from sugar cane and energy-efficient charger. It is also worth noting that with the help of this device you can easily transmit their data to Twitter, Flickr and Facebook.

The HTC EVO 4G is the first of two smartphones that will launch Sprint WiMAX this year. The second model will be unveiled later this year and will be designed by the Korean company Samsung. This seduction of Sprint is trying to come back in the race to rivals AT & T and Verizon Wireless. In addition, discussions are held with various companies to integrate WiMAX connectivity in multiple products, which could range from reader ebooks for the digital camera through the washing machines or medical equipment.

The Sprint WiMAX launch the first smartphone for the U.S. on June 4 at a price of USD 199 with a subscription. The HTC EVO 4G is a smartphone built for the ambitious use data, with a large display 4.3 “, dual compatibility CDMA2000 (3G) / WiMAX network (” 4G “according to marketing) and Android 2.1. The handset has a capability to watch videos and voice recognition to dictate text messages and emails.

End March 2010, the North American operator Sprint unveiled first WiMAX smartphone sold on the floor of the United States and constitute the first truly mobile offering for its WiMax network Clearwire.

Given the characteristics and price, analysts are confident about its chances of success even if network coverage, being extended, may hamper its presence in certain regions of the United States.

Clearwire’s network currently covers only 40 million population of people (and 120 million by the end of the year), the objective being to reach 300 million within two to three years. The EVO 4G HTC smartphone is also the most comprehensive and powerful in comparison to all current offer on 3G networks. With two NPC (the back of a 8 megapixel digital camera and a secondary front), it will also take advantage of videoconferencing services.

The limelight is set on the third U.S. operator Sprint, which, against all odds, put an end to rumors of a terminal response so far code-named HTC Supersonic. The precursor to WiMax, which already sells modems and routers that standard, actually announced its partnership with the Taiwanese manufacturer HTC Evo 4G, their first fourth-generation terminal.

HTC EVO 4G consists of hand like it around a multi-touch screen with a diagonal WVGA not less than 4.3 inches. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 1 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 1 GB of ROM and a microSD slot supporting memory cards up to 32GB.

HTC Evo 4G yield such a powerful device for Sprint is undoubtedly a strong move, as a smartphone, not only the first of the 4G in the North American market, but also has a 4.3-inch QVGA screen, 8 megapixel camera.

Connection Wimax is not the only contribution of this new model. The terminal has actually some other refinements, such as a photo sensor that increases from 5 to 8 million pixels and filmed in high definition 720p.

Sprint will market exclusivity in the HTC EVO 4G this summer, without elaborating or on its launch date or its price. The phone now is in the final stages of development, although it can work properly only carrier-applications from Sprint.

Sprint has finally released its long-awaited WiMax handset. The latest smartphone is a 4G device designed just for Sprint.

It will be the first phone to access Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network, which just happens to be the fastest wireless data network currently available in the U.S.

The handset called HTV Evo, is a feature-packed gadget that will have the distinction of being the first phone offered for a 4G network in the United States.

A Taiwan’s HTC production, it’s most striking features is its large 4.3-inch display screen that has a wide video graphics array (WVGA) display of 800×480 pixels.

Price hasn’t been declared yet. But it has been announced that the 4G device will come in the market in late September.

Taking Google’s Android 2.1 platform as base, HTC’s EVO 4G WI Sprint claims its 4G network can offer download speeds up to 10 times faster than current 3G networks, allowing the Evo to be blazing fast when it comes to data access.

Max handset puts the emphasis on 720p video with two cameras and a 4.3-inch screen.
The handset features two cameras — an 8-megapixel flash camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The latter device indicates Sprint and HTC think users will want to make video calls.

The EVO pushes standard mobile phone technology in other ways, through built-in mobile hotspot functionality that allows as many as 8 Wi-Fi devices to link to the EVO hotspot. Also, built-in voice-to-text messaging enables users to compose texts by speaking.

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse in a statement, said that not only was the feature-rich device incredible on the Sprint 3G network, but Sprint 4G speeds would take mobile multimedia, including live video streaming, gaming and picture downloads, to a whole new level.

Sprint informed that it expected the EVO to be acquired by users of its current 3G CDMA network, although the handset is primarily aimed at Clearwire’s mobile WiMax network, which is being rolled across the U.S.

The phone operates on both EV-DO Rev. A and WiMax and it will also support Adobe Flash and will have a “custom” web browser, says Sprint.
The EVO has other advanced features that are routinely appearing on advanced smartphones including Qualcomm’s 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 1 GB built-in memory, 512 MB RAM, Wi-Fi 11b/g and 8 GB microSD card.

Sprint also said that the handset would have easy-posting capability for YouTube and Facebook.

HTC CEO Peter Chou said that the HTC EVO 4G represent the best of Sprint and the best of HTC working together.
As, Sprint had been losing subscribers at a rapid rate over the past several quarters HTC stepped up to the challenge by unveiling its own device that not only has equivalent processing power but also is capable of running on Sprint’s high-speed WiMAX network.

But critics warn customers, to look for Sprint coverage map before going for 4G-phone. They say that though Sprint has promised to expand its coverage in U.S., there is no surety that the company would live up to its promises, considering its past records with WiMax.

They argue that hardly anyone in the U.S. has access to 4G coverage and most people won’t be able to take advantage of it until 4G is deployed into many more markets. So they ask users to not to just run for 4G features and not buy 4G phones for only 4G features.

Motorola Droid boasts of Android 2.0. Seemingly many Android users are inquiring when Android 2.0 will come to first generation Android handsets. According to a report over on android, they conceive various first- generation Android handsets would not see an Android 2.0 update.
The report lists various reasons as proof such as:
•	Lack of Qualcomm and others hardware drivers for Android 2.0 kernel
•	Lack of comments from carriers and mobile phone makers
•	Limited first generation internal storage pace
•	Mobile handset manufacturers releasing Android 1x handsets next year
•	And Google back porting Maps Navigation to Android 1.6.
Only 2 handset firms have stated their devices will get Android 2.0. They are the HTC Hero gets Éclair and the Samsung Behold II gets Android 2.0 and those proclamations came via Twitter and YouTube, says the report.
As for the carriers and the question of Android 2.0, the response was
HTC say Android 2.0 on the Droid Eris is up to Verizon asking for it
Motorola on the CLIQ say it can have updates but do not confirm it will get Android 2.0
T-Mobile say they are working with Google to deliver Android 2.0 but do not state which handset will get it
Sprint says there are no main OS upgrades planned
and Verizon say on the subject of the Droid Eris gaining Android 2.0, they have no additional info they can share at this time.
No company wants to formally go on record when it comes to releasing Android 2.0 for first generation devices.

Palm Pixi is officially launched on Sprint. Web OS based Pixi is a non-sliding QWERTY candybar phone.

Powered with web OS Pixi could simultaneously run multiple applications, allows emailing and integrates instant messaging, MMS and SMS and allows users to visit non-mobile websites, with full scrolling and zooming capabilities.

Providing the Pixi with photo shot feature Palm has integrated 2MP camera with Led Flash and automatic data back-up service.

The 2.6 –inch multi-touch display Pixi has dimensions of- 55.0mm (2.17 inches) width, 111.0mm (4.37 inches) height, and 10.85mm (0.43 inches) thickness.

Loaded with 8 GB built-in storage it integrates GPS receiver and a 3G mobile broadbrand standard EV-DO.

Pixi lacks in:
•	No video recording
•	No wi-fi
•	Limited App catalog

Pixi comes on Sprint with a price tag of $100 with a two-year service contract and $100 mail-in rebate.

Palm Pixi might not be much anticipated one but it still could be a desired less expensive cellphone involving other features like Palm Synergy, an exposed keyboard and a vivid multitouch screen, along with compatibility with Touchstone connectionless charging and Wireless connectivity with Bluetooth 2.1 which gives it a bit more functionality without diving into a more expensive and more complex smartphone.
