Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone reaches China

Samsung Electronics, the South Korean Company launched its smartphone, Galaxy S in China. This move is aimed to give tough competition to the Finnish giant, the global leader, Nokia, in the world’s largest market. Samsung said in a statement today,
the phone will be offered by China Telecom Corp., China Mobile Ltd. and China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd..

3 million units of the Galaxy S were sold globally, Samsung said in a statement. Samsung said that with Galaxy S series, the company was aiming the high-income bracket in China. Nokia controls 40 percent market share of the Chinese mobile phone market whereas, Samsung presently holds merely 25 percent.

China is the world’s largest mobile device market, with a total of 755 million mobile subscribers. This statement came last month according to the New York-based marketing researcher Nielsen Company.

JK Shin, President and Head of the Mobile Communications Business, said at the launch event held in Beijing, according to the press release, “China is one of the fastest growing mobile markets and offers great potential. I am very pleased to introduce Samsung Galaxy S, which has been customized for the needs of Chinese consumers.”

The Android-powered Galaxy S, featuring 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 1 GHz application processor, supports both CDMA and GSM networks for the China Telecom model, whilst integrating CDMA and GSM networks for the China Mobile device, the company said.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S first in its home turf of South Korea in June, with a motive to derive a strong foothold in the lucrative smartphone segment, presently conquered by Apple Inc.’s iPhone.

Samsung Fascinate on Verizon for $199.99

Samsung Fascinate, the smartphone goes on sale in the United States in Verizon Wireless stores. The phone will be on sale for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with two-year contract.. The phone will be available online from September 8 and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on Sept. 9. Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. cellular operator, announced the launch of sales of the flagship Samsung Fascinate, referring to the series Galaxy S.

Samsung Fascinate, the operating system Android 2.1, GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with recording HD-video, 4-inch Super AMOLED-display, 1500 mAh battery, etc. The device has 2 GB internal storage and 16 GB on MicroSD.

The handset is powered by Samsung 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, and virtual QWERTY keyboard featuring SWYPE technology. It comes pre-loaded with Amazon’s Kindle for Android app and supports a car dock and charging cradle.

Samsung Orion: Dual-Core Processor based on ARM Cortex A9

Samsung Electronics Company presented a dual-core processor under the symbol Orion. The product, designed for 1 GHz, is intended for mobile devices. The basis of Orion became the core ARM Cortex A9. The company expects that the new product will be used in tablets, netbooks and smartphones. The processor is included in the exposition Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum, taking place in Taiwan.

Samsung remains discreet about its architecture, but announces graphics performance 5 times better than the previous generation of processors Samsung.

Orion is able to record video in 1080p and can drive three separate screens. For example, display interface on both screens of a smartphone, while sending a video stream on a TV via HDMI 1.3a.

The processor is designed for production with 45-nanometer process technology. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is an advance device with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels on a screen 7 inch TFT AMOLED and not as the Super Galaxy S. Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P 1000 uncloaked at IFA

Samsung Tablet PC Galaxy Tab (GT-P1000) is unveiled at IFA, taking place in Berlin, Germany. The device has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, executed on technology Super TFT. Samsung denied to use AMOLED-display for economical reasons and to increase the battery life of the tablet. Samsung Galaxy Tab-based on operating system Android 2.2, includes 3G HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0.

Unit weight is 380 grams. The small size allows maintaining portability. The tablet can be held with one hand and can be carried in a pocket of jacket. The device is equipped with ARM-processor with a frequency of 1 GHz and RAM of 512 megabytes. Internal memory is 16 or 32 gigabytes, which can be expanded with the help of flash cards microSD.

Subsequently, the users will be able to upgrade the OS to version 3.0 (Gingerbread), which is presently under development. Galaxy Tab Browser supports the HTML5 standard and technology of Adobe Flash.

Samsung Galaxy Tab leaked

Samsung’s first Android tablet has been leaked on some Korean Website. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab footage leaked shows will be well controlled by Android 3Gn 2.2 with the type of wireless 802.11 b / g / n, a 7 “screen 16:10 1024 x 600, a front camera for video conferencing in 3.2 megapixel camera, a SDHC card reader for expanding the memory storage device and it appears that versions could even integrate a digital TV tuner.

Samsung Galaxy Tab pictures rolled out

Picture of the first tablet from Samsung-‘Galaxy Tab’ has been released. South African representative of Samsung released the first image of the forthcoming Tablet PC Galaxy Tab. According to preliminary data, the device is equipped with 7-inch touch screen with high resolution TFT-display and a standard headphone jack with a diameter of 3.5 mm.

At present technical information about Samsung Galaxy Tab is very scant, but seemingly, this model is running Android and uses the user interface TouchWiz. Additionally, it is equipped with an integrated module WWAN.

Samsung has not announced specifications of the tablet. Samsung has officially confirmed that it intends to launch three tablets on the Android platform in the near future.

The photo with the Galaxy Tab beside the new Android smartphone S Galaxy went out through the blog of the South African department of Samsung.

The tablet has many similarities with the smartphone. The resolution is not yet specified but screen has the same 5:3 ratio as the S Galaxy, which can display 800×480 pixels. A front camera and a SIM card icon on the picture is present.
