Research In Motion could indeed reveal its shelf for now known as the “BlackPad” during a special event next week

According to the WSJ we can expect a 7-inch touch screen (9.7”to iPad) one or two cameras (0 for iPad) WiFi + Bluetooth no a priori 3G model (although it would be possible to use the telephone network via a BlackBerry) a brand new operating system developed by QNX Software System which is recently acquired by RIM. This OS should also equip the upcoming BlackBerry no details about the processor, or stand in Flash (which comes to BlackBerry, so it could be on the shelf)

The OS and applications, key to success:

RIM has decided to abandon its current OS (BlackBerry 6) for the brand new system developed by QNX Software. Sources who are working for the company feels that it is quite competitive.

Wait and see whether it will be easy for developers to build applications, and RIM will be able to create a platform capable of competing with Apple’s app store.

Apple will present this afternoon the new version of its platform, and analysts expect the incorporation of these features. Analysts believe that the flag of the block has finally come to realize their mistake and could add multitask as well as support to include mobile advertising, to expand into more mobile users and developers and steal a portion of the cake to rival Google , as advocated Business Insider.

Apple today introduced the new version of its mobile operating system iPhone OS 4.0, an event that has been surrounded by great expectations for the incorporation of this platform in the iPad and the innovations that might entail.

One of the most anticipated is the addition of multitasking. Since the first version of the iPhone was released in the summer of 2007 one of the fiercest criticisms has been directed to their inability to run two applications simultaneously.

In fact speculation about the advertising provision dates back to January, when Apple took the mobile advertising network Quattro Wireless, an acquisition that followed the AdMob by Google. “This gives Apple developers a new way to make money in the emerging market for mobile ads,” said Shaw Wu, analyst at Kaufman Bros. “It’s much easier for developers when it has the infrastructure adequate and that is what we think Apple is doing. ”

The ads would be an interesting avenue for developers to make money and more taking into account that an approximately 30% of the applications are distributed for free.

The latest iPhone OS update goes back to March last year and then the main new feature Apple introduced the possibility of “Cut” and “Paste.”

The fourth version of the operating system of the iPhone be presented thursday amid of few journalists. A new smartphone should be unveiled in June

Apple beats when the iron is hot. A few days after creating the buzz around the world out of its iPad , the firm at the apple does not drop the media field and announced the presentation of iPhone OS 4.0 for this Thursday.

The brand will give a “preview” of the new operating system during a presentation by invitation at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. What a lot of rumors start building a new terminal, dubbed iPhone 4G.

Multitasking

The Wall Street Journal has laid claims that Apple was preparing the release two new versions for the iPhone, one compatible with the networks of CDMA operator Verizon. Both models could be presented in June

The new version of the OS should include support for a front camera for video conferencing and a multitasking, requested by many users.

The system would take over the technology used in Mac OS X. It is unclear however how the battery life and management of resources will be supported.

Remember that the iPhone is in fact already multitasking. But Apple has deliberately limited its operation to the phone, SMS, e-mail to iPod and Nike plus for reasons of security and autonomy.

Apple has occupied the top most position in terms of operating profits generated by its handsets. Apple has acquired the position with its single handset iPhones swapping Nokia to the second number.

According to the report released by Strategy Analytics Apple’s iPhone earned $1.6 billion whereas Nokia recorded $1.1 billion operating profit in the last financial quarter.

“With strong volumes, high wholesale prices and tight cost controls, the PC vendor has successfully broken into the mobile phone market in just two years,” said Strategy Analytics analyst Alex Spektor.

Nokia still maintain its place as the top mobile phone maker as on account Apple sold only 7.4 million iPhones around the world in the quarter, compared to Nokia’s 16.4 million.

Apple stands over Nokia as its iPhone carries a much higher profit margin on its handsets than competitors and Nokia’s margins were hit hard by both the economic downturn and a stagnant presence in the U.S.

Nokia could view launch of N900, its first Linux Maemo OS as the hope to regain its supremacy in the marketshare, though it would be little tough competing with iphone and now Google’s Android-based phones.

Google added new giant sculpture of Éclair to its front lawn placing it with cupcake and donut arousing great excitement among everyone for its forthcoming Android- 2.0 OS. Although Google made no announcement for its awaited new Android OS but here we have got few screenshot describing lot of its new features. Thanks to BGR for releasing Android 2.0 screenshot walkthrough to answer our excitement.

The new OS that shall come on smartphones will have in it both Facebook as well as Native Exchange support with totally unified email inbox and a brand new UI makeover.

Taking within Microsoft Exchange compatibility the new OS has a totally unified inbox perfect for keeping up with personal and corporate e-mail- Flag, delete, marks, forward it allows for all basic functionality.
Uploaded Maps to include layers for overlay search queries, Wikipedia entries, Latitude buddies, traffic, transit lines and all this comes with an ability for My Maps that would let you share and receive directions with others. Isn’t that really cool to sort out your navigational problems?

The redone URL entry bar is stuck on redid UI. New desktop YouTube widget makes possible uploading of a video in two steps.

Text-to-speech makes the new OS more viable. Well there is something more viable for car users. The new OS load Android with Car Home – consolidated list of icons that help you perform something like making voice search across internet, getting driving directions, searching through your phones etc.

Another friendly update is done to contacts which allow users to get a short menu just by tapping it that is no need for many clicks to avail any information earthed in.

Some yet unfortunate features:

New unifies inbox uses the specific Google-made Gmail email application in Android.
There is no Flash 10 in this new OS. No multi-touch as for now.
There’s no lock interval option, so if you have activated a lock code each time your phone turns off (about every 30 seconds when not in use), you need to enter the password again on arrival.

BGR noted that “this isn’t the final build of Android 2.0 and the follow reporting is based on the version we have running. Things can and will change prior to release” and added with it that the new Android 2.0 brings a ton of additional speed to the browser, which they say is now “ridiculously close” to iPhone 3GS speeds.

It is a single destination designed to make it easier for developers to find details on everything they need to know about distributing their app on the App Store – from how to prepare for app submission and how to manage app once they are rolled out.
The App Store Resource Center is fragmented into three centers for the ease of developers. These segments include: Prepare for App Submission, App Store Approval Process, and Managing Apps on the App Store.
While Prepare for App Submission would help you to get started with iTunes Connect, including setting up your user accounts, submitting contracts, tax and banking information, and gathering application information. The App Store Approval Process ensures the completion of your application for submission and what to expect during the app approval. Next section guides you on managing your app once it’s there on the App Store.

There is a News and Announcements section of the iPhone Dev Center. This contains tips on submitting apps to the App Store, turnaround time for app review, new program features, and guidance on everything from development and testing to distribution and marketing.
So developers need not to miss visiting this part of the Resource Store.
