Samsung has developed bada to make rich and connected application-experiences available to everyone. It includes next generation next generation UI framework with feature sets and design elements that facilitate leading-edge user interfaces for every bada application.

Samsung describes its key features as

• Integrates supports for common experience and functions across applications for extensible core functions like dialer, messaging, and address book.

For developers BADA site contains development tips, tools, documentation, and tech support resources and also provides the development forum to the developer community.

According to the bada Web site, the first bada-powered mobile phone is expected to be introduced in the first half of next year. Sale of bada applications will start at the Samsung Application Store in the same period.

Users will also eventually be able to download Bada applications over the air from Samsung’s Application Store.

Samsung also said the Bada software development kit will be released in December, and handsets with the OS are expected to arrive in 2010.
