Psystar not closing down permanently

Psystar has lost the case against Apple and their site went off but they do not intend to shut down permanently said K.A.D. Camara.

In the lawsuit filed by Apple Inc. against Psystar for cloning Mac OS Psystar suffered heavy loss and the court has ruled a permanent injunction against Psystar.

The permanent injunction prevents the company from selling hardware that runs the hacked versions of the Apple OS X operating system.

According to the letter send to Computerworld, Psystar’s lawyer K.A.D. Camara, of the Houston, Texas law firm Camara & Sibley LLP, cleared the misconception about the company’s imminent closure. He said that stories of Psystar not being in business anymore were based on Attorney Eugene Action’s misquoted responses to questions about the company’s future.

He also mentioned that Psystar does not intend to shut down permanently.

Earlier this month Psystar and Apple agreed for a deal under which Psystar would pay Apple approximately $2.7 million if they loses appeal they plan to file with U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
